What parents are saying about the experience!

"My son really enjoyed this program last year. We really liked the diversity of strength exercises and speed and agility. As a personal trainer myself I appreciated the attention to detail and making sure the kids are doing things correctly. Great job! "

"My son loved Rushsanity! We signed him up to keep him active during the winter months, he got a great work out while he was there and also was given a lot of tips on things to do at home."

"I would say that it was liked very much by my son. Alex is very professional and kids have a lot of fun."

"Alex is great with the kids. He made Rushsanity fun for them and our son always looked forward to going. It's a great camp to keep the kids active and in shape thru the winter months. Definitely recommend."

"My daughter (2007) participated in RushSanity last year for the first time and she loved it. We put her in it to help keep her conditioning over the winter and I was impressed with the results. She didn't loose anything and actually gained core strength and overall power. My daughter had so much fun, she is still doing some of the drills at home. She is a much different player this year vs last, and I believe this program had a lot to do with it. Alex was very professional with the students and I have already signed my daughter up for this winters sessions and my daughter is looking forward to it."

"This is a great program. My daughter had a lot of fun while increasing her muscle endurance and improving her soccer skills. Alex is an awesome teacher and very knowledgeable."

About The Training

It is our belief that the foundation of every good athlete is speed and agility.  Once an athlete has attained those attributes, sports specific training is the next step toward truly excelling at their game.

Each training sessions will have a mix of:

  • Motor skills development: Coordination, agility, and balance are key component to more skilled training.  Agility represents and athletes ability to change directions with ease, and balance represents an athletes ability to maintain body control while performing an athlete skill.

  • Strength Training: Muscular strength enhances the performance of many athletic skills.  In the past, children were discouraged from using weight for fear of injury or prematurely stopping the growth process.

Recent studies show that children make substantial gains from lifting weights in strength and also in fat reduction.

Females, in particular, benefit greatly from lifting due to the fact that it helps build bone mass, because females are more prone to osteoporosis.

Most injuries to young athletes occur at the ligaments and tendons.  A well designed strength training progression will strengthen the ligaments and tendons.

  • Plyometic training-  is considered sport specific training, training that is designed to give an athlete the ability to exert the greatest amount of power in the shortest time possible.
