ECNLRL Teams See Success

It was a fine weekend for the Missouri Rush girls ECNL RL program.  The girls played six games in total between the 2008 and 2009 age groups.  Battling through the cold, the teams combined came away with a 5-0-1 record.   It was a collective overall team performance by both age groups. Combined the girls scored 25 goals while only conceding 3.

Kevin Meyer, coach of the 2009 girls said “The ladies had a really strong weekend.  They defended well as a group and created some great opportunities that resulted in a lot of scoring chances.”

Jason Wyland, Director of the Missouri Rush ECNL program said “ It was a great weekend for our ECNL program! The 09's captured all 9 points with 3 quality wins scoring 12 goals and only giving up 1.  The 08's captured 7 out of 9 points with 2 wins and a draw. They scored 13 goals on the weekend and only allowed 2.  Both teams jumped up in the standings from these results.  After all the spotty training attendance through spring breaks, finally getting everyone back together was a breath of fresh air.  We really started to see the girls come together as a unit. The successful weekend really gives us a lot of momentum as we move into a tough stretch of 13 highly competitive games over the next 7 weeks.”

The girl's next game will be Saturday, April 2 against Sporting Blue Valley.

Good Luck ladies!
