School of Excellence is excited for another season and prepared to help Rush players add and sharpen their skills.  Each session will last one hour, and players will progress through 4 different exercises together as a group. Each session is designed as a whole, part, part, whole progression.

When players arrive their attendance will be checked from the registration list that gets posted each week on the Missouri Rush website. Players are expected to sign up on a weekly basis, so our staff can properly prepare each session based on the numbers of players, and with the current COVID environment and guidelines, the attendance list will guarantee that we know who exactly was at each training.

After attendance, we don’t want to waste any time, and players will be split up into 3v3 or small-sided games. This free play setting is critical to their warm-up and a great chance for them to interact with other players and make new friends. Our second exercise will consist of a physical/technical focus. Where we reinforce specific athletic movements, that are more common at each different age group. The movements will be taught with and without the ball to also increase their ball skills. The third exercise has a technical/tactical focus.  Where the players should be well warmed up physically and technically, and now we can have them apply those skills learned with a specific tactic and coaching point being highlighted each week. The last exercise is where we go whole again, and see if we can notice any kids try to apply and better understand the physical, technical, and tactical skills that were reinforced in the first 3 exercises.
