O’Fallon, MO (January 27, 2020) - Missouri Rush Soccer Club (MRSC) is excited to announce our acceptance into the ECNL through the ECNL Girls Regional League - Heartland Conference and will include competition in the U14, U15, U16, and U17 age groups.
ECNL Girls Regional Leagues are designed to service a deeper player pool from member clubs within the ECNL Girls, and to provide a competitive platform for objective evaluation of new clubs for full ECNL membership in the future. Top performing teams in ECNL Girls Regional Leagues earn the opportunity to compete in the Open Cup Division of the ECNL Playoffs in June at the U15, U16 and U17 ages, where they will match up against other ECNL Girls Regional League teams as well as teams from the full ECNL.
“At Missouri Rush we have been building the foundation of the club and preparing for the next chapter in serving our players. The ECNL is an outstanding organization and we are very proud to have this resource as part of our player pathway.” says Mike Soots MRSC President.
“The Rush Soccer brand has become a household name in the market. We are still a relatively new club, only being 7 years old. We have achieved a lot in such a short period. Joining the ECNL program through the Regional League is a great testament to our staff and leadership. We are really excited to challenge our players through such a proven platform.” Nick Teater - Executive Director MRSC
The ECNL program has been at the highest level of competition, joining together the best clubs and players across the country. The ECNL provides great opportunities for its members through educational opportunities as well as exposure through its national events.
The Regional League will showcase not only players but also the structure of the ECNL program. ECNL Regional League games will be a “club vs club” atmosphere where all ages involved will travel together and show support of the club and program. “We couldn’t be more excited to offer our players and families the opportunity to be a part of ECNL.” Says Aaron Lively, MRSC Vice President. “This partnership will provide our players with a pathway to play and compete at the highest levels of girls soccer and allow Missouri Rush to offer competitive play at every level available.”
MRSC, along with SLSG - MO, KC Scott Gallagher, KC Athletics, Sporting Iowa, and Elite Girls Academy (EGA) will be the participating clubs. Games will be played in a home and away format in a 10 game season.
MRSC will be hosting ID sessions this spring for interested players to be a part of the ECNL Regional League. More information to come!
