O’Fallon, MO (February 8th, 2020) - Missouri Rush Soccer Club (MRSC) is excited to welcome Jason Wyland as our ECNL Regional League Program Director.
Jason comes to us from a long and well established coaching and training career from AFA Fillies. “It is a very bittersweet feeling as I close an 11-year chapter of my life with the AFA FIllies soccer club. I owe so many thanks to club president Steve Pietrowski who has taught me a great deal about the ins/outs of running a club. He has been like a father figure to me and has done an extraordinary amount to enable me to get to this point in my coaching career.” Says Jason
Jason has also spent time coaching at the college level where he gained a great deal of understanding about the recruiting process as well as the expectations college programs place on college athletes. We believe that will play a major part in the expectations this program will have for him and the families it serves. Jason says “I owe every player that has ever put on an AFA uniform a great deal of gratitude, as well as the parents of those players. Without them trusting in my training, my methods, my ideology, and my coaching decisions, this opportunity wouldn’t be possible.” “I am thrilled to have Jason as part of the family. His passion is infectious.” mentions Damion Frederick MRSC’s Director of Soccer Operations.
Jason goes on to thank his previous players and families by saying “We endured many successes and many failures through the years but we kept growing and grinding forward. So many great friendships and relationships, college scholarships, and 2 state championships later, every single minute of every session of every season was well worth it. I sincerely thank all of you!”
“Having Jason as a part of this program and as part of our Rush Family, speaks volumes about the commitment MRSC has to our players and families.” says Nick Teater the Executive Director at MRSC.
MRSC is excited to enter this new chapter with the help of Jason Wyland. “It goes without saying (says Jason) that, while sad to leave Steve Pietrowski and the AFA Fillies program, I am extremely excited and grateful for this next chapter and challenge in my life with Missouri Rush Soccer Club. Having AFA Fillies teams that competed against ECNL programs, locally and throughout the region in showcases, tournaments, and friendlies, I have a tight grasp on the characteristics needed to train and compete at this level.”
MRSC will be kicking off the ECNL program February 22nd and 23rd by hosting ID Sessions for any interested player from around the community to attend. “I am ready for the challenge and can’t wait to get started Sat and Sunday Feb22/23 at our first ID sessions, which anyone is welcome to attend.” Jason Wyland - MRSC ECNL Regional League Program Director
