Mercy Sport Medicine – Missouri Rush Athletic Trainer

Mercy Sports Medicine Athletic Trainers provide preventive care, injury screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions.

They perform initial on-site evaluations of injuries or conditions that occur during training or competition for any Rush athlete. Based on these assessments, they can determine the appropriate course of action, which may include returning to play with or without modifications, removal from play, immediate treatment, or referral to an emergency department, urgent care, or physician.

If a physician referral is needed for an injury, the athletic trainer will assist the athlete and their family in connecting with the right medical professional and support them throughout the recovery process until the athlete is ready to return to play. Mercy Sports Medicine Athletic Trainers also design personalized rehabilitation programs and guide athletes through progressive recovery.

Mercy Sports Medicine emphasizes a proactive approach, focusing on identifying and addressing the root causes of injuries—not just the symptoms. Their team takes the time to ensure a comprehensive recovery, helping every athlete perform at their highest level.

The Missouri Rush Athletic Trainer uses therapeutic techniques that help your child recover more comfortably by easing pain, reducing muscle tightness, and relieving soreness—supporting a safe and effective return to play
